SUMMARY:National Safety Code Intro (Level 1) Feb 24
DESCRIPTION:BCTA offers the National Safety Code (NSC) Program in three levels so that attendees will achieve a complete understanding of the National Safety Code regulations. \nIntroduction (Level 1): NSC basics\, Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE)\, logbooks/ELDs\, and Hours of Service.\nThe NSC Introduction (Level 1) course is designed for drivers\, compliance officers and record-keepers. The course outlines the National Safety Code’s Hours of Service standard. It examines the various cycles available\, exemptions\, and the correct use of logging hours (detailed examination of required support documentation\, regulations applicable in both Canada and the USA\, considerations for driving north of the 60th parallel\, daily driving and working hour limits\, deferral provisions\, and special cases such as adverse weather conditions). Additionally\, the course includes information on US requirements and regulations about electronic logging devices\, which is beneficial for drivers who cross the border. \nParticipants will complete an end-of-course assessment and\, upon successful completion\, will receive a Certificate of Completion. \nNOTE:  This course is offered for information only and does not entitle you to an NSC Certificate.  For more information on obtaining an NSC Certificate\, please visit the Government of BC CVSE webpage. \n*Please note that lunch is not included. \nRegistration policies can be found here.
